Hola.
Ciao

Hello. What's up?
I would like to start with a soft presentation about me and how and why this idea has come from something I hope will become a major project in the future.
My name is Felipe Carrillo. Civil Engineer. Like many of my professional colleagues, due to the crisis (who said crisis!!) that emerged a few years ago and affected so seriously investment in infrastructure and public works, I reconsidered if the construction would be what we had known and if necessary find compatible alternatives with the knowledge and experience gained over many years.
The answer came in the form of Renewable Energy. A field in which Spain was a pioneer for resources and research. I studied a Masters in RES, and I acknowledge that what at first was a simple career choice became a passion which today is hard to escape, being involved from all aspects (search for information, environmental concerns and sustainability, energy alternative to current sources of energy ...).
Now comes the big question. How this new passion can get marry with something we know firsthand as is the civil work which is tremendously improved from the point of view of the environment? And I do not mean countless (sometimes useful, sometimes not) forms and environmental measures that are made to fulfill the record but without any engagement range.
The idea presented in this blog is to show real measures being implemented in the field of civil engineering, public works, urban planning, renewable energy and private green building related engineering, for not much less awareness , but to show that there is life beyond conventional, while support mediambiental improved quality of life.
Examples will be shown regarding green walls (interior and exterior), energy efficiency and rehabilitation, green roofs (such as public or private use), development of public spaces (lighting, landscaping, paving ..), and of course, integration of green projects in civil works, sometimes so dark and gray.
The idea is to show what it is, look into the work of the authors and explain the reason for the customer to opt for this solution and of course, the execution of it. And ongoing or planned projects with high environmental value.
Do not forget that green is not just pretty. Let us not only that. It has many advantages (energy saving, housing, noise, health .....) we should use, not only for us ....
Thanks for your time. It's been a bit of a pain, I admit, but I assure you that the following is not going to be at all.
